The Greater Boca Raton Beach and Park District, along with the City of Boca Raton, celebrated the completion of the new tower at the Gumbo Limbo Nature Center with a ribbon cutting ceremony on June 13, 2004. Jacob's Outlook, the observation deck atop the tower, is named after Jacob Kosowsky, a former Boca Raton resident who lost his life in a car accident. A generous gift from the Kosowsky family helped bring Jacob's Outlook to fruition. With weather not cooperating for the ribbon cutting, the photos showing the view from Jacob's Outlook were taken in the days leading up to the ceremony.
