Pumpkin Painting at Patch Reef

Dozens from the Boca Raton community prepared for Halloween by painting pumpkins at Patch Reef Park on Friday, Oct. 13. 

The event, sponsored by the YMCA of Boca Raton and held within the Rutherford Community Center, had children young and old tapping into their creative side to create some unique Halloween pumpkins.

Designed ranged from the abstract to a couple that would be at home in galleries.

The night also featured spooky music and popcorn.

Upcoming Halloween events at District parks include the Saturday. Oct. 28 Swim Center's Monster Mash, which begins at 11 a.m. 

The following day at 9 a.m. the Boca Raton Racquet Center will be the site of the Halloween adult mixer.
